Dr. Sinem Güven is a Research Manager at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, where she leads a global team of researchers, engineers and creative artists, whose mission is to create AI-driven innovations with particular focus on technology support and education domains.

Sinem earned her Ph.D. degree in 3D User Interfaces and Interaction for Augmented and Virtual Reality from Computer Graphics and User Interfaces Lab at Columbia University.

Since joining IBM, she has led several successful research projects around Augmented Reality and Predictive Analytics, which resulted in five IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards, and three IBM Research Division Awards for her technical leadership and contributions.

In addition to her research leadership role, Sinem also serves as the Global Technical Lead for the IBM Technology Support Services (TSS) AR Program, where she defines the Augmented Reality strategy and technical agenda for IBM TSS, and drives differentiating technology innovations.
