John Blackmon is the CTO and Co-Founder of Trivantis, a company well-known for creating Lectora, the first eLearning authoring tool 20 years ago, which is now utilized by the world’s largest organizations including several Fortune 500s and all five U.S. military branches. As the original developer of the flagship Lectora line, Blackmon is changing the industry once again - this time with CenarioVR, an immersive learning tool that has simplified the VR training process and has made it affordable. 

Prior to Trivantis, Blackmon was Co-Founder and Lead Engineer at BocaSoft, which created various software utilities for the OS/2 operating system. He has also worked at Electronic Data Systems followed by IBM, where he was awarded a patent for his work on seamlessly running Windows applications under the OS/2 operating system. As a regular eLearning event speaker, he also has a patent-pending on his work for responsive course design.
