The University of British Columbia's Emerging Media Lab (EML) is an award-winning experimental space where faculty, students, and staff from all disciplines collaborate with industry and community. Its mission is to evolve learning by creating tools and techniques using emerging technologies. In this space, faculty members become subject matter experts and students turn into innovators. EML provides an incubation venue for UBC community especially students outside their academic activities where they can experiment with emerging technologies such as VR and AR in order to solve educational challenges and enhance learning and student engagement.
